Update
This week, Secretary Arnie Duncan testified for the first time before the House Education and Labor Committee about the Administration's education agenda. The Secretary's testimony focused on the Department's implementation of the Recovery Act, the President's FY10 budget request, the Administration's proposed early learning challenge grants initiative, and proposed changes to the federal student loan program.
Next Week on Capitol Hill
Friday, May 28: The House Committee on Education and Labor will hold hearings to discuss new innovations and best practices under the Workforce Investment Act (For more information, click here).
