Last night, the House voted, 239-182, to approve an amendment offered by Appropriations Committee Chairman Obey adding $10 billion for an education jobs fund to the FY10 emergency supplemental spending package.  The package includes $800 million in cuts to key Administration priorities, including Race to the Top and the Teacher Incentive Fund. The Senate will not take up the bill until after the July 4 recess.
