TeamBack

EducationCounsel’s team of experts includes some of the most respected names in education with experience in both the substance and practice of policy change.

Driven by an intuitive appreciation of the critical role of interdisciplinary decision-making when making good policy decisions, the Team brings together individuals with decades of varied educational policy and legal experience: Its members, who include a former U.S. Secretary of Education and governor, have held major positions in the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, governors' offices, state boards and departments of education, foundations involved in education, Congress, and (from elementary school to post-graduate education) in the classroom. In combination, team members also bring together distinct histories that include significant litigation, law enforcement, policy development, and legal drafting experience and expertise. In short, this team brings strong, grounded, multidisciplinary and bipartisan perspectives when addressing client needs. Reflective of an innate understanding of the many perspectives that should shape the development and implementation of educationally and legally sound policies, the Team delivers client services that are second-to-none.
